NIS kicks off the Fundraising activities for Light the Night Walk (July 2, 2019)

Updated: Sep 7, 2021

NIS will be partnering once more with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) this year through participation in the Washington, D.C. Light The Night Walk on Saturday, October 26th on the National Mall.

Contributing to nearly every advancement in blood cancer treatment in recent decades, LLS has invested more than $1.2 billion in cancer research, with groundbreaking results. In the past 18 months, 25 new blood cancer treatments have been approved by the FDA. LLS directly funded 20 of these. These revolutionary new treatments are powering efforts to attack cancer from every angle.

We are officially kicking off our company fundraising efforts in hopes of making a significant impact on the mission of LLS to cure blood cancers. This year, we have set a team fundraising goal of $10,000 for LLS research and patient programs. C.K. Park, our President & CEO has generously agreed to match up to $10,000! Thank you C.K.!

Light the Night is a commemorative, evening awareness walk dedicated to raising funds for the mission of LLS to cure blood cancers. (To get a sense of the Walk, watch this short video). We need your help. Here are a few ways you can join in our efforts:

Register for the team and walk with us on October 26th! You may join our team by clicking “Walk With Us” at the top of our fundraising page and completing the registration process. Your friends and family are welcome to join us as well – Light The Night has a “block party atmosphere” with a kids zone, food, music, games and more.

Can’t make it out to the walk, but still want to support? You can make a secure, tax-deductible contribution to our team’s fundraising efforts by clicking “Donate Now” on the right side of the fundraising page:
