Mark Micke
Director, Program Operations
Mark Micke joined NIS in March 2024. He brings over 35 years of civilian management and military leadership, leading formations small and large. He led organizational change initiatives that created the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Space Command, changed how the U.S. Marine Corps globally secures, operates, and defends its network, and helped reorganize the Marine Corps for future operations and conflict. He is a veteran serving 35 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve and U.S. Marine Corps.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s in Criminology with a minor in Political Science from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, a Master’s in Military Operational Art and Science from the U.S. Air Force Command and Staff College, is a graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College and was a National Security Affairs Fellow at the Hoover Institution located on the campus of Stanford University.
